Is GrantCrafter only a grants database?
No. It connects discovery with eligibility, applicant dossiers, drafting, Theory of Change, logical frameworks, budgets, workplans, quality checks, exports and submission tracking.
Where does funding information come from?
GrantCrafter prioritises public information from official donor, government and multilateral sources. The linked donor call remains authoritative.
What happens after a deadline passes?
Passed calls are archived and removed from the current-opportunity view. Rolling calls remain visible while their source indicates applications are open.
Can I bring an external call?
Yes. Import a call and its documents from Proposals, review the extracted requirements, then continue through eligibility and drafting.
Does AI invent applicant facts?
It should not. Drafting uses the applicant dossier, uploaded documents and linked call. Missing evidence is marked for the applicant to complete.
Which exports are available?
Pro includes donor-formatted Word and PDF files plus an editable PowerPoint donor pitch deck tailored to the current donor profile.
What are the free plan’s daily limits?
On a rolling 24 hours: 60 searches, 3 external call imports, 5 document analyses, 10 eligibility assessments and 3 AI business plans, plus the one AI proposal draft. Searching is capped only to stop automated extraction — the other three each send documents to a language model, which costs real money per use. Any paid plan removes every limit.
Which languages can I draft in?
Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Malagasy, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swahili. Where a call states a required submission language, GrantCrafter reads it from that field rather than assuming the language a call was published in is the language you must answer in.
We are a company, not an NGO. Does that work?
Yes, and the document changes shape. Your legal form selects a nonprofit, business or individual template. Business applicants also get the Business Plan Studio: SWOT, PESTEL, Porter’s Five Forces, VRIO, TAM/SAM/SOM, CAC and LTV, a DCF valuation and multi-year projections.
Do you train AI models on my proposals?
No. Dossiers and proposal content are sent to a model provider only to produce your own output, never to train models and never for resale. The providers are named in the privacy notice.
Can I cancel?
At any time, from Billing in your workspace, which opens the Stripe customer portal. The plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for. Afterwards the account continues on the free plan: proposals, dossiers and pipeline stay readable and editable, but export and the review passes stop.
Does GrantCrafter guarantee funding?
No. GrantCrafter supports research, preparation and quality control; donors make all funding decisions.
